In order to ensure the health and safety of animals in the care of Happy Dog Spot, a strict enrollment procedure must be followed.
Enrollment Requirements
The following criteria must be met for each dog prior to participation in daycare or boarding services:
- spayed or neutered for dogs aged 9 months or older
- proof of current vaccination including Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella (puppies should have completed at least the 3rd round of booster shots prior to attendance)
- deemed in general good health by a veterinarian
- free of fleas (It is recommended that dogs are kept on a flea preventative such as Frontline, Advantix, or Inceptor year round.)
- pass a full day temperament evaluation
The temperament evaluation will examine how suitable each dog is to the daycare environment. Temperament, personality, behavior, and social skills, along with food or toy aggression are some of the screened characteristics. Happy Dog Spot would like to welcome every dog that goes through the evaluation process, however it is important to keep in mind that safety and the well-being of all animals in our care is of utmost importance.

- Fax vaccination records for Rabies, Distemper, and Bordetella to 866-456-4684
Once the above information is recieved, HDS will respond with an evaluation date confirmation. HDS will make its best effort to respond to evaluation requests within 2 business days.
